Sally Tong
Sally is running for reelection after serving her first term on the Board. A graduate of Stony Brook University, Sally has been working in the healthcare field for more than 20 years. She operates an on-line weight management program.
Sally is committed to serving the children and families of Cherry Hill. Prior to serving on the Board of Education, Sally served on the Cherry Hill Fair Funding Committee and her children’s PTA. She is Vice President of Chinese American Women Sisterhood Society of Philadelphia and directs fundraising and public relations for Armed Forces Veterans. Sally also is a member of the Asian American Women’s Coalition and the Kentucky Council.
Sally and her husband have been residents of Cherry Hill for more than 20 years. They have four children.
Carolina Bevad
Carolina has lived in Cherry Hill for 7 years, where she and her husband are raising their 3 elementary-aged children. Carolina has a bachelor's and a master's degree from NYU in elementary, special and ESL education. Carolina started her career working in private education as a Director of Education for Sylvan Learning Center before becoming a high school ESL teacher in the New York City public school system. Carolina is currently a stay-at-home mom and is an active participant in the Cherry Hill school district. Over the past 3 years, she's been a member of the Fair Funding and We Return to Learn committees, a PTA executive board member, a room parent and a substitute teacher.

Carolina has been a vocal proponent of in-person learning since the Fall of 2020. As an educator, she believes children learn best while interacting with their peers and their teachers in a normal school setting. Just like she fought for Cherry Hill students last year, if elected, she will continue to fight for the best interest of children.

John has been a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ for 10 years; he and his wife have two sons. John was born in Philadelphia, PA and went to Father Judge High school. He graduated from Holy Family University with a master's degree in Human Resources and a bachelor's degree in Management Marketing.

John is a certified Professional of Food and Safety as accredited by the National Environmental Health Association. Professionally, John works as a manager of retail safety and regulatory compliance for an East Coast supermarket. John and his family live in the Old Orchard section of Cherry Hill, where he helps as a moderator of their community's media page and events.

Having children who will be students in the school system for many years to come, John has a keen interest in maximizing the effectiveness of the school system. As a school board member, John will challenge himself and others to make the best decisions for the students, staff and all resident of Cherry Hill.
